MASALI RAFFA (4) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1560m at Mackay, beaten only half a length after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the class to build on that encouraging effort last start. TWIN ISLAND (5) finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being in contention on the turn over 1400m at Thangool, an improvement on her fifth at Moranbah the run before. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CITIROC (2) finished out of the money two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 5.5 lengths when seventh in a 1400m contest at Rockhampton three weeks ago. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. NITROGEN (1) resumes from a spell of five months and is having his first outing under new trainer Rodney Hay. Finished tenth at Gold Coast over 1400m at the opening run last time in work. Ran sixth in a trial at Dalby over 800m recently.
