Warwick Farm Race 8 - Headwater @ Vinery Stud (Bm78)

MONTPELLIER (2) has impressed in two runs since coming from the UK. Wound up nicely in the concluding stages to grab third last start over 1400m at this track. Yet to prove himself at the mile but that last run suggested he needs it now. Great chance to break the Aussie maiden. STRAWBERRY IMPACT (11) returned from a 16-week spell and racked up a tenth top-three finish from 13 starts when a barnstorming third in a 1400m Provincial Championship qualifier at Kembla. Perfectly placed out to the mile with that run under the belt. FIDDLERS GREEN (7) won a similar race here two starts ago then closed off well but left it too late at the Kensington track most recently. Gets a soft run from gate one and will be hard to hold out when called on. SPIRIT OF CAMELOT (10) was underwhelming last start at the Kensington track when a $2.80 favourite. Worth one more chance with winkers going on. DREAMS COME TRUE (5) just missed behind FIDDLERS GREEN when resuming here five weeks ago. Each-way prospects.
