Only beaten 1.3 lengths there, he sets a good standard and should take plenty of beating. ALCHEMISTIC (2) debuted in a deep maiden at Geelong behind Greenwich Boy and Keen Observer. He only managed fifth there but should improve and looks a key hope. ADMIRAL'S POINTE (1) is a gelding by Rubick on debut for the Shane Jackson yard. He's jumped out well enough for this and should be ready to go on his home deck. SILENT DEVOTION (8) ran well first up at Bendigo behind Group-performed I Am Aria at Bendigo when third, beaten 2.5 lengths. Up to 1200m suits nicely and she'll take holding out.
