ULTIMATE WARRIOR (4) is a Microphone gelding on debut for A & S Freedman. Has come along nicely at the trials, fitter for two recent 1050m efforts. Can start with a bang. STAR OF LILY (1)chased a pair of smart ones to the line in a strong maiden at Canberra before spelling. Franked the form fresh with a dominant win at Moruya. Thrown straight in the deep end last start when sent to town where she had excuses after racing wide throughout. Much better placed here and is a great chance to atone. THE LOCAL (3) is an Acrobat gelding on debut for the Dale camp. Is another that has shown good signs in his lead-up work and draws favourably. Expect him to make his presence felt, though may need the run. ANDRES GIRL (6) was denied by the barest of margins on debut at Albury. Better for that and will appreciate the added trip. In the mix.
