ZIGGY STARCRAFT (8) is hard to look past after a strong-closing third here first-up. He is on the quick back-up, drops into a BM55 and has already shown enough at 1200m to give this a serious shake. TARONG (6) comes off a Bowen BM50 win and has the benefit of the claiming apprentice, though this is harder company than the picnic grade he beat last time. WISER (1) brings upside from a Corowa Mdn win where he scored with a bit in hand, and his repeated 1200m placings say the trip is suitable despite coming back from 1400m. SHE'S A BEAUTY (5) is a reliable place chance with a strong Ryan Wiggins association and recent third at this venue, but the wide draw means she has to do things cleanly. LET'S RIDE (10) caught the eye when resuming here three weeks ago, flashing home from last to get within a length of the winner. Is draw to settle much closer this time and is among the winning chances.

He was big odds and safely held at Wodonga the run prior, but his broader 1200m record is sound with four placings from five tries. Had genuine excuses when fifth in a Class 2 at this track last start, jumping awkwardly, meeting interference in the straight and still making ground to be beaten a length and a half as favourite. His Ewan fourth in Class 4 company was also sound enough after covering ground. Honest enough to press for a placing if he gets clear running.

Had excuses when sixth at this track last week in Class 1 grade, beginning awkwardly, being tightened and racing wide throughout before finishing only a length and a half from Stylish Rosie. She was also close up here two runs back as a well-supported favourite. Still has a track query, but she is around the mark.
