Thurles Race 2 - Irish Ebf Auction Series Mdn (Smullen Series)
KING CHRISTOPH (12) found the frame under Andrew Slattery when 1.25L second of eleven over the trip at Listowel last month. Ticks plenty of boxes second-up and can get off the mark with a big run. DAWNMORE (11) arrives off the back of consecutive placings at Naas and Listowel. Only 0.75L behind KING CHRISTOPH when favourite last time and holds serious claims if there is a market lead. WHY OH WHY (14) has not been seen since finishing in the money on Gowran Park debut in July. Steps up in distance and shortlisted. BATTLE READY (7) has been slowly away in three unplaced maiden runs but is worth a market check.

Had two starts to date. At debut, 8th of 14 at Down Royal on September 4 over 1408m, 6 len behind Sovreigns Joy with 61kg at $13. Second-up 4th of 15 at Naas on September 17 over 1408m, 2.5 len behind Diamonds And Dames with 58.5kg at $15. The longer journey should suit so a better run is on the cards.

Went for a break before returning ran last of 8 at Down Royal on September 28 over 1408m, 11 len behind Leap Of Light carrying 58kg at $10.
