Tamworth Race 1 - Nbn News Tamworth Plate (C1)
Very thin form race to open proceedings. QUIRKY PRINCESS (11) is a seven-start maiden but brings the best credentials to the contest. In the money three back in a 1900m Newcastle maiden and has subsequently finished midfield at or around this trip at Scone and Tamworth. Only needs to hold that form to test this line-up. The danger is SHARE OUR SECRET (10) who led for the judge but folded late to finish fourth over 1900m at Armidale last time out. New to this trip but should bowl along up on the speed and give a great sight. FOXWEDGE ARROW (2) caused a massive boil over when successful in a 1900m Armidale maiden recently. Not out of contention in this field. MINISTER GARRETT (8) is yet to salute in 47 starts but can sneak into a trifecta or first four slot. MEMPHIS BLUE (3) has won here in the past. Not racing well but is another worth including in exotics.
