FORT CHARLES (14) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.3 lengths at this track and distance when resuming from a break last start. Finds another suitable race and can maintain winning form. LACE UP (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1646m at this track, beaten 14 lengths into sixth. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. CHICO CHARLIE (1) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 0.3 lengths over 1710m at this track (Dirt). Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. GOOD AS HE GETS (10) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Michael V Simone yard. Finished off last campaign with a win at Finger Lakes (Dirt) five months ago. Not seen at the trials but is in a nice race. Shapes as a top-three chance.
