GALWAY FLYER (3) has been switched north by the Waller yard and has been racing well enough this distance range in stronger Maidens. Didn't have much luck beaten 2.8L at Newcastle 22 days ago and this is a winnable race for him. SPOT THE AUSSIE (6) is third-up and the Vandyke-trained galloper shapes as a threat. Missed 1L stepping up to 1700m at Ipswich and has the blinkers on for the first time. Has an awkward gate but should power home with Thompson sticking aboard. PROMISES MADE (10) is an improver from the Waller yard who will build on the tidy effort at Doomben. Vandyke has COOLOUNDRA (5) engaged, and he was outsped on debut. It's an ask stepping up 450m second-up, but we're likely to see a much improved effort.
