SHINGITAI (1) gets top billing off a much better Sonoda fourth in 3yo+ B1 company, where he was beaten two lengths and held a position near the top of betting. The Chukyo Dirt run before that was plain, but the class drop, race fitness and barrier one give him a strong platform to produce his best local form. LOVE ME MARY (8) is the immediate danger after going down by only half a length first-up at this track, and her Sonoda 1400m record gives that run substance rather than making it look like a one-off spike. WIN AUBE (9) has the winning form after beating LOVE ME MARY here three weeks ago, and his past-year record says he is more than capable of holding that level. SMILE CLARK (3) brings the strongest track-and-distance record of the quartet and comes off a well-backed B2 win, so he has the local credentials to be a genuine place and each-way factor.
