KURFURST (3) is returning from a spell of three-and-a-half months. Finished tenth at Chukyo Dirt over 1900m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Hiroyuki Yamaguchi. Shapes well and a bold showing is expected. A SHIN RESUME (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 4 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1400m at Himeji after being in contention on the bend. Yet to miss the placings from four starts at this circuit. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. DANTE BAROWS (9) is resuming from a spell of three-and-a-half months and having his first run for the Masashi Atarashi yard. Was in the placings when first-up from a spell last campaign in Listed grade at Fukushima Dirt over 1700m. One of the genuine hopes in the race. HYUGO (2) was in the firing line on the corner and finished second last start over 1800m at Himeji, beaten 6 lengths. Should be cherry-ripe. Likely improver with solid claims.
