Sha Tin Race 1 - The Purves Quaich Griffin Plate
JEDI SPURS (1) impressed at the trials and made ran up to those public outings on debut, putting his rivals to the sword as a $1.60 favourite. The inside barrier can see him up front from the outset and he looks the one to beat again. ALMIGHTY WARRIOR (2) finished off strongly to just miss lasts tart over this course and distance. He's trialled well since and he may be able to sit a touch closer this time around. Better for the run over 1200m last start and he makes plenty of appeal. EVER WEALTH (8) jumped the favourite last start when leading and fading over this track and trip, beaten 1.5L. Atzeni replaces the apprentice hoop today and he's sure to be in this for a very long way. QUANTUM WUKONG (9) finished behind JEDI SPURS last start but is better suited out to 1200m now. Can feature.
