GOLD PATCH (3) is an exciting gelding on the rise, winning by 1.3L over this track and trip 20 days ago. Purton remains in the saddle and while he has drawn wide, he has enough speed to cross from out there. Can continue to work through the grades. SPICY STANDARD (10) disappointed two back before a narrow defeat last start as the race favourite in easier company. Only beaten in a photo there and drops 8kg today. Atzeni remains in the saddle, he's trialled well since and it wouldn't surprise to see him go one better. CHILL BUDDY (4) won two back before a 1.3L defeat most recently. His recent trial was very good and he carries no weight after the claim of Yuen today. Can sit handy and be tough to run down. EFFORTLESS WIN (7) makes his debut in Hong Kong today and has trialled well coming into this. Not to be discounted.
