Sha Tin Race 4 - The Bauhinia Sprint Trophy (G3)

The first of the G3's on the card and MAGIC CONTROL (3) ticks plenty of boxes. He's been very impressive at this track and trip since arriving in HK and turned in an impressive trial most recently. He'll put himself on the speed from a favourable alley and he'll be very hard to catch. BEAUTY WAVES (2) has beaten MAGIC CONTROL previously, though he does meet that gelding worse at the weights today. He's been racing well over the longer trip recently but coming back to the straight course looks to hold the key. Bowman riding is a big tick. He can stalk the speed and land the knockout blow late. HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (1) is the class runner of the field, though racing over 1000m is the big niggle. Purton does the steering this time though and his recent trial was sharp. Sure to be closing off strongly at the finish. AWESOME TREASURE (6) is next best.
