THE GEM STATE (4) made an encouraging start finishing runner up in a 4828m point to point at Rathcannon five months ago. Now joins the powerful Paul Nicholls stable. Open to plenty of improvement and looks hard to beat. CONNELLS CROSS (1) is progressing nicely after only two appearances. Followed a Perth second with a decisive course-and-distance success earlier this month. Could give another bold sight. MORDS LAVIE SPIGAO (7) is an appealing newcomer by Tunis out of Gout A La Vie. Any market confidence would be significant. DATSTHEHOLYALLOFIT (5) showed promise when fourth debuting here. Can build on that effort.
