MAINSTAY (1) is a boom four-year-old from the Messara/Gavranich yard. Has won two from two and been sent around at extremely short quotes on both occasions, the latest over this trip at Muswellbrook in a Class 1. Bigger test today and goes up to 61kgs but he should keep improving and win again. LA POTENZA (5) steps back sharply in distance after racing handy but finding one better over 1280m at Muswellbrook last time out. Has been in the money at both 1000m runs. Should give a good account again. VITTOZZI (9) ran a couple of nice races before leading for home and dropping out last time over 1200m at Newcastle. Best results have come over today's distance so she can turn things around. PANTA RHEI (3) was rewarded for consistency with a tidy win over 1200m at this track recently. In the money at five of six 1000m runs so she should be prominent again. Promising mare WON'THEARMECOMING (8) resumes. Won at her only run last prep over this trip at Muswellbrook.
