Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. CLASSIC COMMANDER (10) is still a maiden after nine starts. Could only manage to finish sixth last time out over 1710m at this track (Turf) following a minor placing at Aqueduct Turf (Turf) over 1609m the run prior. Among the leading chances. POPPY'S TICKET (12) is back after a break of nine weeks. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at his latest appearance over 1207m at Finger Lakes (Dirt). Launched last prep with a minor placing at Aqueduct over 1308m. Strong winning chance on best figures. CHRIS'S SONG (13) filled a minor placing first-up at Aqueduct Inner Turf then could only manage fourth at his latest appearance over 1207m at Aqueduct. Tackles a turf track for the first time today.
