SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS (2) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1710m at Listed level at this track (Turf) after being prominent from the outset. Has the class to build on that encouraging effort last start. VIBE (9) is a talented entire who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 99 lengths behind Nysos over 1609m in the G1 Metropolitan Handicap at Saratoga (Dirt). Expected to cross from wide out. One of the main contenders. SAND PIPES (7) is overdue for a win. Excellent effort last start to finish third in stakes company over 1811m at Monmouth Park Turf.
