DIRECTIVE (6) recorded a strong maiden win over 1609m at Aqueduct (Dirt) last time, getting there by 7 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and she should be in the finish. PURE JOY (2) was too good for a maiden field last start over 2012m at Churchill Downs (Dirt), scoring by 1.5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Capable of making it two on the trot. BERNIEANDTHEROSE (1) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing sixth last start over 1408m at Aqueduct (Dirt) six-and-a-half weeks ago. Should be prominent from the outset. One of the main contenders. METFARDEH (7) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1710m at Keeneland (Dirt). Finds a suitable race and can build on solid recent efforts.
