WRITTEN STORY (3) was eight weeks between runs and having her first outing for the Nick Olive stable when a tiring seventh over 1300m at Orange last start. Her best Victorian form, particularly at or around 1400m, reads well in a race of this calibre. Drops 1.5kgs today and can improve enough to take this out. FLYING MAURICE (4) scored a barnstorming win on debut over 1200m at Canberra two back but disappointed last time out at Bathurst. Draws the fence and is nicely in after the claim so he deserves another chance. WILL THE THINKER (1) is back after a five-month spell for a second campaign. In the market at all five runs to date, with the best performances over a bit more ground on wet tracks. One to keep safe regardless. VANROSA (5) responded well to a change in tactics last start and led until the dying stages over 1460m at Queanbeyan. Can run another cheeky race. BRUNDEE TOM (2) hasn't done much in two runs this prep but does race well at this track.
