SHADY TIGER (2) is a handy five-year-old gelding who returned from a break last start and finished 1.5 lengths away in second over 1609m at Del Mar (Dirt). A win will not surprise. JOHN METCALFE (4) returns from a layoff of 12 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1609m at Santa Anita Turf. One of the genuine hopes in the race. GEEZER (5) turned things around last start and got the job done by 0.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner over 1308m at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. THE GYPSY COWBOY (7) was beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 1609m at Los Alamitos last time out. Well placed to make amends.
