MANIAE (5) lifted strongly to get the prize by 2.25 lengths three runs back at Del Mar (Dirt) before filling a minor placing at her last two starts. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is among the leading chances. SAINT MIHIEL (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when sixth in a 1106m contest at Los Alamitos three weeks ago after being in contention on the corner. This is a nice drop in grade so she is set to turn things around. ANGI'S TIPSY (6) was a dominant winner last time over 1106m at Los Alamitos (Dirt), getting home by 2 lengths. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. One of the main contenders. TOULOUSE DETRAC (2) was never really a threat when resuming last start over 1106m at Los Alamitos (Dirt), finishing 12 lengths from the winner in eighth. Solid contender in this line up.
