ROULETTE KING (2) just gets the nod. He's a progressive gelding who was dominant first up at Ballarat over 1400m, coming right away to score by 4 lengths. He looks destined for good races and maps perfectly here for Mott from gate three. CROCODILE (3) has been tested in good races his past couple, wide no cover in the G2 Autumn Classic last time having stuck on fairly behind Observer the start prior. That reads very well for this and he should get every hope here. BRAVE DANZA (1) resumes having been in top form last time in. He got out over further but has won a recent trial very nicely and can make his presence felt. RUSSIAN DUCHESS (12) is a nice filly in her first campaign, just finding Zakouma too strong last time when sitting on a strong pace. She can run well. JOHNICH (4) was solid in the Tasmanian Derby last time and is in the mix.
