NOBLE EAGLE (5) finished a 13 length fifth on dirt at this track two back. Switched to turf last time at Sam Houston Park Turf over 1006m and again missed the frame, finishing a 9 length fifth. Terrific chance to return to form back on the dirt. ROYALIST (1) was unplaced on turf over 1609m at Sam Houston Park Turf two back then again couldn't find the top-three on the same surface last time out, finishing seventh over 1609m at Sam Houston Park Turf. In the mix on his best efforts. DEACON JONES (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1408m at Delta Downs, beaten 14 lengths into seventh. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. HE'S CHARMING (3) was beaten 13 lengths into sixth at the second run back from a break over 1308m at this track at his latest appearance. Well placed to make amends.
