MARTEE (5) is the main danger after his third to Variation, with previous winning form at this track and a distance placing giving him enough substance, though he still has to turn that consistency into another win. DEWDROP (6) brings a different profile, dropping out of Mdn grade after two plain runs, but the stable and jockey setup gives her scope to improve third-up. KEI EMPEREUR (10) caught the eye late when sixth behind Variation and has place claims if he repeats that finishing effort, although his track-and-distance record remains the clear reservation.
