FUKUNO SUNANO BARA (4) is the horse to beat after leading and winning a 3yo+ C2 at Saga by a length as a prohibitive odds-on favourite. His prior second in 3yo+ COND company reads well enough for this, and the record of six wins from 14 starts gives him the strongest overall profile among the main chances. IKENO ASACHAN (2) has to be assessed on the sharp win two back, when she put five lengths on Airoso at this track, rather than only the latest fifth behind Legendize. Her season and jockey records add substance, so she is the key danger if she rebounds. VILLAGE LUMIERE (1) lacks winning authority but her effort two runs back, when making ground from big odds to be beaten just under four lengths by Mikki Gentle, keeps her in the minor mix. KURINO ORION (3) disappointed as a well-fancied runner last time, though her previous second to North Gloria in 3yo+ C2 company gives her a path back into contention if she rediscovers that level.
