MAIDOFF (5) has gone to a new level this time in with the two slick wins at Illawarra Grange from his four runs this prep. Anchored with the 58kg and back in trip with a respectable fifth over 1200m at Randwick in this class. No excuses today over the extra ground. LAWLESS LUCY (12) lightly raced mare who opened the prep with a sharp win over 1250m at Newcastle. Snagged back from the wide gate and like the way she closed off when sixth over 1200m at Randwick. Fitter now and can finish much closer despite drawing out again. POWDER MAN (8) tidy win two back at Illawarra Grange, then savaged the line with a respectable fourth in a Midway over 1400m at this track. Comes here deep into the prep and stays in the calculations. SCINTILLA (7) proven second up mare who won't know herself with the 54kg. Respect. The chances don't end there.
