Redcar Race 2 - Ebf 'Double Trigger' Novice Stakes (Gbb/Gbbplus Race)
IRON STONE LAD (5) found one too good both outings this autumn. Denied by 2.25L at Yarmouth (1600m) sixteen days ago. By Cracksman so the extra journey may unlock further improvement. CALDO (1) progressed from debut when 3L second at Nottingham (1700m) latest. Represents a top yard and could find a race of this nature within reach. SKYLAR (9) looks the pick of the Charlie Johnston-trained trio. Encouragement both outings including when 6.25L fifth at Goodwood over 2000m a month ago. Bred to handle a stern test. CHARMED BOY (2) made the frame on two runs at 1600m. Minor honours look on the cards again.
