COLUMBUS (8) excited to see this progressive gelding stretch out in trip with the blinkers coming off. Was three weeks between starts when he peaked on the run with a gritty second over 1800m at Randwick. Kept up to the mark with a 1200m tick-over trial and can bounce back today. CAVALRY (11) visors go on and indicated a win was imminent with a tough on-pace second in a small field over 2110m at Warwick Farm in easier company. Will stalk the speed and give a good account. KOOLIBAH (12) returns from a 52-day let-up after he resumed with a slashing second from back in the field over 1550m in a BM72 at Randwick Kensington. Trip suits with the claim and since fitted with a 1030m tick over trial. Improver. STEEL BLAZE (5) back in grade and don't dismiss.
