HANEY (2) led and was brave but found the winner a bit too strong when returning from a nine-month spell over 1000m at Tamworth last start. Fitter and will prove much tougher to run down this time. HIGHLAND DANCER (4) is back after a 24-week spell. Appeared twice in the maiden prep for two placings, racing equally as well when taking a sit or leading. No trials leading into this but assume she is forward enough to pick up where he left off. MAGATAMA (6) last raced when she led but was swamped late and missed the placings over 1000m at Taree on 3 March. Recent trial winner who looks set to start her second campaign off in a positive manner. MY SWEETHEART (7) closed well for a distant third when second-up recently over 1007m at Taree. Should be competitive again at just the third run of the prep. FIOGGIA (9) did little on debut at Tamworth but is worth another chance with winkers on over a slightly longer trip.
