Presque Isle Downs Race 3 - Race 3 - Allowance Optional Claiming

CLASSIC NOFTY (5) turned in a fine effort to score by a nose at today's course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Likely to be there at the finish again. KING MENDELSSOHN (3) went forward and proved too strong when resuming last time out, scoring by a nose over 1673m at this track (Synthetic). Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HECTOR (1) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 0.3 lengths back in second over 1207m at this track (Synthetic). Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. HE'S A MESS (2) showed little early speed last start then picked up the bit in the straight to finish third at this track (Synthetic) over today's journey. Distance specialist with four wins and 12 minor placings from 22 runs and cannot be underestimated.
