ALEMAN (2) was always well out of his ground when 19 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1609m at Churchill Downs last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Turfway Park the run before. The engagement of Antonio A Gallardo is noteworthy. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning form. DOWAGIAC CHIEF (1) last appeared when he finished seventh over 1207m at Laurel Turf (Turf) on October 26. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. SAINT GOAR (3) made progress last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1207m at Mahoning Valley. Likely improver so plenty to like about his chances.
