SICCIUS (4) took on a much stronger Class 1 at Newcastle. He was beaten a decent margin in that but now fitter and up in distance, he can run a better race. That happened similarly last prep at this very track. ARTIE LADY (6) has been close up her last two. They were not strong races but she looks like she wants ground. Will be at peak fitness now and can give this a shake. CHIEF WILD EAGLE (7) did go so much better from first to second run. If that happens again then he's in the mix. HARDASH (3) last start finished eighth over 1600m at Taree. Won't get a better chance to run a place. DUNDEE TALES (1) next best.
