PURPLE HAZE (3) did a good job last start but found a couple better over 1400m at Scone, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Peaking now third-up and will relish the rise in trip. Looks the one to beat. XTREME (6) turned in a nice effort second-up at Coffs Harbour after being prominent at the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PEAR BELLINI (9) has returned in good order this prep and should be hitting her straps now after narrowly missing last time here as favourite. MINI BOO (8) progressed nicely second-up when chasing gamely into fourth at Taree. Backs up quickly and has more to offer.
