The horse who finished third has won twice since. One to beat. RIVER NILE (7) represents an in-form trainer who rarely sends horses to Pontefract. She placed third in two recent outings on the All Weather. Can be quite keen. Good chance. FAN ME (6) returns to the racecourse after a 420 day absence. Made a satisfactory debut in July 2025 then pulled up with an injury early in a race shortly after. Smart pedigree for slightly further than this 1600m trip while trainer and jockey won the race last year with a horse coming back from a break. L'ISLE DE BOIS (5) is the only debutant in the race.
