Pinjarra Race 4 - Boxing Day Dash (Bm84+)
ANGEL UNDERCOVER (3) has been a bit hot and cold of late, but her hot is good enough to take this out. Came from the clouds to get up for second last start over 1400m at Ascot. The small field suits her racing pattern. Sure to prove hard to hold out. WUBIN GOLD (6) gave away a huge start on straightening but finished just 1.5 lengths adrift when second-up last time out over 1200m at Ascot. Third-up form doesn't read well but with just five rivals to contend with she is right in contention. SKY DUKE (5) ran a couple of excellent races at BM78 level then lumped 58.5kgs in a 72 last start and was very poor. Worth another chance back down on the limit. TRIPLE JAY (1) returns from a seven-month spell. Didn't come up last prep but his best form, particularly at this distance, measures up. Keep an eye on betting. Doubt the other two can win, headed by BOOTS LIKE BRUCE (2) who went a little better last time.
