THORSNESS (5) finished second two runs back at Monmouth Park Turf (Dirt) then improved last time out to score by a nose over 1609m at Meadowlands (Turf). Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. COWBOY MIKE (1) scored a commanding win at Del Mar (Dirt) over 1609m at his latest appearance on August 16. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Preciado Ernesto Padilla. Capable of playing a major role. RECKER POINT (3) was far from disgraced after being prominent at the corner to finish 1.5 lengths away in second last start over 1673m at this track. That followed a first-up win at Delaware Park. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. SILENT MODE (7) had been rock-solid with three placings in a row before finishing seventh over 2414m at this track last start.
