VIOLETS SMILE (7) returns from a spell of eight months and did score first-up when last in work at Penn National (Dirt) over 1207m. Lines up for the first time for the Jamie Ness stable. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. SHE CAN SCAT (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just three wins from 41 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1207m at this track, beaten 13 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason she cannot get the major prize. MAY MISCHIEF (1) was beaten 5 lengths into seventh at the second run back from a break over 1006m at Monmouth Park Turf a week-and-a-half ago. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
