Pakenham Synthetic Race 8 - Sheen Pakenham - Ned’s Last Hurrah Synthetic Stayers Series Final (Bm70)

Interesting finale to the Stayers Series where a few of the key chances come through the same race. The new blood is SAVEADATEFORME (2), who comes in off a disappointing last-start effort but that was in a stronger race than this at metro level. That was the first run for a month, so will no doubt take great benefit from it and returns to the track where he is yet to miss a place in seven runs. DUN WONDERING (3) won the race that looks the key synthetic lead-up, albeit narrowly, but he made a long run from the rear of the field and will not have to get around as many this time. PROSHOW (7) was nabbed late by DUN WONDERING last start but should again be ahead of that rival in the run and meets him 1kg better at the weights, which could prove significant. SHOCKSTAR (6) meets DUN WONDERING 2kg better for also being narrowly defeated by him last start and a much cosier draw this time is the big thing in his favour. OUTCASTER (4) gets in well after the claim and can improve.
