GRAND OLD BOWLER (8) found the line well on debut at Cranbourne, getting back but catching the eye with a good finish to grab third. She was in the market there and is expected to improve now with that experience under her belt. LIGHTWATCH (3) wasn't beaten far on debut at Sandown Lakeside, finishing sixth of eight but only beaten 1.2 lengths in a dash home. This should be a bit easier and he's worth keeping safe. TAUPIN (4) is a gelding by Wrote on debut for the Stokes yard. He's trialled well enough leading in and this looks winnable from a good draw. ON MY OWN (1) ran better than $71 SP fresh at Cranbourne and has to be considered given how close he was to GRAND OLD BOWLER there. BIMBALLA (7) struggled fresh but will be fitter.
