REFINED DESIGN (1) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in second over 1710m at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. EL CHAVO (8) is fitter for two runs back from a spell, progressing nicely last time to finish fourth, beaten 5 lengths, at Sam Houston Park Turf (Turf) over 1609m. Looks a definite top-three candidate.
