JOHNTIALJO (3) sets the standard after resuming with a close third at Moruya, beaten just under a length by Kool Kade in a run where he travelled into it and let down well. His previous campaign included a Class 3 second to Pink Lamborghini, again beaten just under a length, so his recent profile has more substance than most. KENDALIA (2) is the main danger, coming back from Class 2 company after a Canberra fifth that had merit from the rear, and his earlier half-length second to Tulipwood reads well for a BM58. ANGEL IN THE WIND (5) also drops out of Class 2 and was doing her best work late behind Famoso, though JOHNTIALJO had her measure at Moruya. BOUND TO FIRE (7) has placed at both runs this campaign at this venue and his latest third to Regor came after racing wide, keeping him firmly in the minor-winning mix. MELODIA PERFECTA (8) maps well again and not to be dismissed.

That was a better effort than her first-up seventh at this venue, where she was beaten just under seven lengths and never really threatened. Winkers go on and worth thought.

Her previous third came in a BM50 at Canberra, so this BM58 asks more despite the honest recent form. Still steps up from BM50 form and must find more.
