SHOALWATER BAY (1) displayed plenty of early toe over 1450m at Mt Isa last time and defied all challengers to score by 3.5 lengths. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp. BUTWEDID (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 1000m at Augathella, beaten 7 lengths into seventh. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. VELOCE METEOR (2) gave away a considerable start over 1200m at Roma last time before hitting the line well to finish sixth. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Can run on into the finish here. LUCKY FORCE (3) was in the money two starts back at Charleville but was unable to repeat the effort last time when sixth, beaten 7 lengths, at Roma over 900m. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
