OPERA WAVE (2) looks the one to beat following a narrow success at Southwell (2200m) in September. The David Simcock trained contender is raised 3kg for that win but she remains unexposed and ought to have plenty more to offer. LORD NORMANDY (1) was disappointing when last seen eighth of nine at Wolverhampton during January. Provided a good second over the same course and distance in December and now returns off a 1kg lower mark. Seems to be the one most likely to chase the main selection home with MADELEINE MOONSHOT (3) unlikely to land a blow having shown very little in her four outings to date.
