PHANTOM MAJOR (3) came from last in a small field to be beaten in a photo on debut over 1250m at this track last start. Has a poor gate to contend with but if things go right he should be breaking through. OAKFIELD IOWA (8) is the obvious danger following a handy second when fresh from a 29-week spell last time out over 1200m at Wyong. Gives every indication the extra 200m will be right up her alley. MAREMOTO (6) returned from a ten-month lay-off with a respectable effort over 1250m here recently. Ran substantially slower time than PHANTOM MAJOR on the same card which must be taken into account. Plenty of improvement to come so worth considering. DASHING TRIPLE (9) went poorly last time out and the rider suggested he had reached the end of his prep yet here he is. Handy when right - the betting might paint a picture. COOL RUPERT (1) has been in the money at three of five runs over today's distance including last start at this track. A must for exotics players.
