Flashed home for a close fourth on debut over 1000m at Randwick then wasn't too far away in the Group 3 Golden Gift over 1100m at Rosehill at the only other appearance. Has trialled twice in preparation for this. Only needs to show a little natural improvement over the break to be taking this out. MACHRIHANISH (9) has been safely held in two career starts, although the winners of both races have gone on to better things since. Draws the fence and will appreciate getting over more ground today so she can finish much closer. GOLD GLOBE (2) backs up seven days after a respectable effort over 1100m at Canterbury when fresh from a five-week let-up. Likely improver. RAISE THE BAR (3) is an Exceedance colt on debut for Ciaron Maher. Won a recent Warwick Farm trial so he looks ready to perform. GIGI (8) is a half-sister to Gr 1 winner Helene Leadingstar on debut for the O'Shea/Charlton yard. Respect any positive market lead.
