Three of the last four winners of this have gone on to score among G1 company. THE NEW LION (4) might have more to do to reach that level however could yet turn out to be very useful. Easily found success delivering hurdle debut at Chepstow last month and can use this outing as a springboard to bigger races. CALIFET EN VOL (1) appears the main threat after a maiden hurdle win at Kempton recently. FRENCH SHIP (5) beat a decent subsequent winning mare at Chepstow 24 days ago and needs to be included. SILVER THORN (3) completes the shortlist.
