It is $23 bar two, and it is hard to argue that this is a two-horse race. NOVEMBER SUN (6) was backed for a stack first-up over 1000m at Eagle Farm on Melbourne Cup Day but found a couple better. Trialled since that run 38 days ago and meets a far weaker line-up today. Clearly the one to beat. ODETTE'S ORCHIDS (7) appreciated the step up in distance when runner-up over 1262m at Ballina recently. Slight query coming back to 1100m but should race handy in the small field and give a sight. JENESHI (3) is back from a six-month spell for a new stable. Did nothing in two Brisbane runs in the debut prep but is worth monitoring for market support. PATRIOTICINTENTION (2) and KERMACETO (8) for trifectas and first fours.
