JIMMYINTHEJUNGLE (1) has the clearest winning case after contesting an Open at Cloncurry and a BM70 at Toowoomba at his past two, form that reads strongly for a Class 3. He was only fourth last time, beaten just over four lengths by Cochrane, but he was near the top of an open market and his record at around 1000m is sound enough to make him the runner to beat. JAMACRI (5) is the main danger second-up, with her Jundah fourth in a Class 4 better than it reads after jumping awkwardly and being sent out favourite. CHAMPONNET (4) ran fifth at his latest appearance over 1200m at Cloncurry, finishing 5.5 lengths from the winner. Likely to feature. INSTIGATE (7) is the consistent mare, coming off a half-length third at Cloncurry at big odds, and her season record says she is capable of holding that level again.
