Not far off a win and will be tough to beat. VINTAGE SPARKLE (5) returns from a break of nine months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a fourth over 1207m at this track. Nicely placed to kick off another successful campaign. TIERGARTEN (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when fifth over 1609m at Mountaineer Park Turf three-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the bend. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. PRINCESSOFTHENORTH (9) has been in the money at her last couple of runs, the latest when third over 1609m at this track (Dirt).
